GA Law Office, founded by Prof. Dr. Gülsün Ayhan Aygörmez, is a Türkiye-based law office providing legal representation and advice in matters of Turkish law, including, where required, cross-border matters with connections to Germany and Europe.
Our approach
Our approach combines legal practice with academic expertise. Each legal matter is addressed through a clearly defined mandate, systematic case management, and comparative legal assessment.
Principal areas of practice
GA Law Office practises principally in criminal law and criminal procedure, white-collar criminal law and corporate criminal risks, medical and health law, environmental and climate criminal law, inheritance law, real estate law, and individual applications before the Turkish Constitutional Court and the European Court of Human Rights.
Academic expertise and international perspective
Prof. Dr. Gülsün Ayhan Aygörmez is a professor of criminal law and a practising lawyer. Her academic work has long developed between Türkiye and Germany. She teaches at Bielefeld University and has taught at the University of Kassel, while conducting international academic work in comparative law, environmental and climate law, white-collar criminal law, and medical criminal law.
For her professional activities in Germany, she is registered with the Berlin Bar Association as a Turkish lawyer pursuant to sections 206 and 207 of the German Federal Lawyers’ Act (BRAO). This international professional and academic experience contributes in particular to the assessment of cross-border legal matters and cases with German–Turkish connections.
