Elif Naz Arıkan Němcová graduated from Galatasaray University Faculty of Law in 2016.
She completed her master’s degree (LL.M) in international commercial law at the London School of Economics and Political Science and her thesis on the right to a fair trial for companies whose financial situation is not sufficient to cover the costs of arbitration was awarded a high honours degree.
After working in the fields of international commercial and investment arbitration, personal data protection law and commercial contracts as a member of the Istanbul Bar Association, she started to work as a Research Assistant in the Department of General Public Law at Istanbul Gedik University Faculty of Law and completed a second master’s programme in public law at the same university with a degree.
Arıkan, who works in the field of human rights law and environmental law, continues her research as a PhD candidate in the Department of Environmental Law at Charles University.
She is fluent in English, French and Czech.
